Pop heart-throb Robbie Williams has scored his eighth number one in the UK album charts with his latest offering RUDEBOX. The former Take That's star album went straight to the top of the charts on Sunday (29OCT06), knocking previous number one Killers' SAM'S TOWN to five. The rest of the top five comprises of new releases from My Chemical Romance with THE BLACK PARADE at two, Meat Loaf with BAT OUT OF HELL 3 - THE MONSTER IS LOOSE at three and Rod Stewart with STILL THE SAME - GREAT ROCK CLASSICS OF at four. Meanwhile, British boy band McFly managed their sixth number one in the singles chart with STAR GIRL. The only new entry in the singles top 10 is club anthem FEDDE LE GRAND's PUT YOUR HANDS UP FOR DETROIT at two.
