He has suffered from a variety of mental health issues since his twenties.
Mental illness has proved on multiple occasions that it doesn't discriminate, and Robbie Williams has confessed that he has had his own daily struggles with it for a number of years - since his early twenties in fact. Those struggles range from stage fright to anxiety about his weight and other areas of his life.

Although it's his most famous song, 'Angels' is too emotionally difficult for Robbie to sing.
To the shock of his fans, Robbie Williams has indicated that he’s going to stop performing his most famous song, ‘Angels’, on his upcoming tour – because it’s too hard for him to sing.
The 43 year old former Take That star is planning a new tour and, because he wants to showcase new material, is intending on pruning many of his classic hits from the setlist, starting with ‘Angels’, by far and away his most iconic song.
‘Angels’, which was an enormous hit in 1997 and is a karaoke classic and radio station staple to this day, is one of those songs that virtually everybody has attempted to sing while drunk. But that’s part of the reason why Williams is considering dropping it – because he’s struggling to maintain his cool while he sings it.

He confesses he was in intensive care for a week after brain abnormalities were found.

The 43-year-old ended up in the ICU for 7 days after falling ill backstage at a stadium in Zurich on September 2nd 2017, forcing him to cancel his remaining two dates of his Heavy Entertainment Show tour in Russia. He opened up about the serious health scare in a new interview.
Williams released a YouTube video explaining the reason for his tour cancellation last month.
Having cancelled a section of his tour recently, Robbie Williams has revealed that he made the decision because he had received some “very worrying” test results that saw him get admitted to intensive care in hospital.
The 43 year old singer, who released his most recent album The Heavy Entertainment Show this time last year, cancelled three prestigious gigs in Russia in September at the end of his recent European tour, without offering an explanation.
However, on Wednesday (October 25th), Williams has shared a YouTube video in which he details the reasons for the cancellations – and they’re a lot more alarming than anybody could have thought.

Robbie Williams is running out of ''ideas'' for new song lyrics.
The 43-year-old singer has admitted he's beginning to get frustrated with his process for putting together tracks because he's finding himself using the same lines.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: ''I'm definitely running out of ideas. I don't know how many ways I can say: 'I'm neurotic and I messed up. Or: 'I love you, love me, I'm thick.' Or: Women, I like women.'

History could be about to repeat itself as the former boy band singer takes his career in a new direction, just like Robbie Williams before him.
Zayn Malik has come a long way in the five years since he hid backstage during 'X Factor' bootcamp, too afraid to dance in front of the cameras and judges. These days, the 22-year-old heartthrob is used to performing for tens of thousands of screaming fans in One Direction's sell-out arena tours.
Zayn could be heading in the right direction
And now, it emerges, he's taking the bold step of going solo, just months after sensationally quitting the band in March. Zayn has bagged himself a new record deal with RCA, home of Justin Timberlake and Alicia Keys, and he's promising to show a new side to himself, tweeting '#REALME' after signing the contract, and posting a photo at the studio.

The popstar is leading a bidding bonanza at Bonhams this summer, with a variety of items set to be up for grabs at a charity auction appropriately dubbed, 'Doing it for the Kids' (that's in reference to Williams' 2000 single with Kylie Minogue 'Kids', for the Robbie rookies). All proceeds at the event will be donated to The Donna Louise Children's Hospice, which he became a patron of in 2002.

Having broken the hearts of millions when Robbie Williams quit in 1995, Take That have had first hand experience of carrying on life as a four-piece group.
Mark Owen was speaking to British radio station Magic FM when he was asked about the similarity of the two situations, and replied “Do you know what, one thing that we never did when Rob left us the first time is we never... You get caught up in your world and you forget sometimes... hopefully somebody's phoned Zayn and made sure he's alright, because it's, you know, it's difficult.”

The Led Zeppelin legend has won his dispute with neighbour Robbie Williams over a planned extension to the latter's basement.
A long-running battle between musicians has finally been settled, not in the charts but through the courts. A three-month long planning row between rock star neighbours Robbie Williams and Jimmy Page was decided in favour of the Led Zeppelin guitarist.
Former Take That singer Williams has ditched plans to add a huge extension to his £17.5 million Grade II-listed London property, including excavating and building a huge two-storey basement. 71 year old Page had fiercely contested the proposal by appealing to the local council on the grounds that it would affect that foundations of his Grade I-listed home.

The British pop star has definitely left his single ways behind him
Robbie Williams is a changed man. Far from the lad about town he once was when he left Take That and embarked on a solo career and life in the sun in Los Angeles, he’s now a happily married chap and a father of two. Not only that but it seems the popstar, who started off his career as one fifth of the biggest boy band of the 1990s, has also turned a bit soppy.
Robbie Williams: still a performer but also a firm family man
Speaking about his performances when he is apart from his wife of four years Ayda Field, the 40-year-old singer revealed that he likes to Skype his better half before going on stage.

Metallica are choosing to replicate Jay Z in performing a version of Wonderwall at their Glastonbury headline slot, but what are the best Oasis covers?
In a similar fashion to the announcement of Jay Z in 2008, metal titans Metallica’s headline slot at the iconic Glastonbury Festival has been met with a wave of criticism and derision from commentators who have deemed the Metallica’s headline position as both a lazy, predictable booking and one that is incompatible with Glastonbury’s demographic. However, whereas criticism towards Jay Z in the vein of what was unleashed by the Gallagher brothers was a scathing attack on hip hop as a genre, laced with a degree of barely concealed racism, Metallica’s backlash largely stems from elsewhere.

Firstly, this is a band that hasn’t produced an album of any merit for well over a decade and what’s more, considering they were announced long after tickets had sold out, how many of Glastonbury’s middle class bohemians will actually want to watch the band? Metallica have themselves responded to the criticism by announcing they may open their set with a cover of “Wonderwall”, copying Jay Z’s act of protest back in 2008. However, it does appear that Jay Z’s version carried a greater amount of symbolism, given that it was the Gallagher brothers who were the most vocal opponents of his appearance.
