Predestination Trailer

'The Bartender' (Ethan Hawke) is the nickname given to a Temporal Agent whose job it is to stop crime before it occurs through the use of time travel. His aim is to make sure the law is enforced and people are protected throughout time, but it seems he has finally met his match when one seriously intelligent criminal manages to repeatedly slip through his clutches and cause devastating bomb explosions that have wiped out thousands. It's not an easy life, jumping in and out of a timeline as a career, but work is getting on top of The Bartender and he's about to discover just how exhausting time travel really can be, for both him and his nervous recruits.

Undead Review

Weak
Undead, a low-low budget zombie-sci-fi-splatter-comedy from Australia is the epitome of ambitious filmmaking gone horribly awry. This is a "kitchen-sink" film (that is, everything but) that outdoes Peter Jackson's equally absurd Bad Taste within the first 20 minutes. It's overflowing with outrageous effects, stilted acting, day-glo lighting, insidiously painful music and a needlessly complicated plot. While most low-budget horror flicks peter out in the last few reels, this film's co-directors, the Spierig brothers, push the film into zanier and zanier quarters until (at one striking moment) it eclipses it's own budgetary limitations and astounds. The moment, sadly, is singular and fleeting. What remains is a gloriously mad heap of celluloid inanity.

The small town of Beverly seems a peaceful place, but when a freak asteroid storm creates a rampaging army of flesh-munching zombies it's up to a motley assortment of flat characters to save the day. As is frequently the case in films like this it is the outsiders, the pariahs, who become the heroes. The heroes here are Rene (Felicity Mason), a depressed beauty queen, and Marion (the more than appropriately named Mungo McKay), a fisherman/gun shop owner with an alien abductee history. Rene and Marion navigate two cops and a pregnant couple towards the final arc of the rambling story when the film switches gears and becomes an outrageous sci-fi spectacle.

Good
How can you not love a zombie movie with a bad-ass ruralbeauty queen heroine, a plot twist involving aliens, and an armed-to-the-teethmilitant hillbilly wearing baggy overalls and spurs on his work boots?

Welcome to "Undead," a tongue-in-cheek Romerohomage from Down Under.

A huge cult hit in its homeland, this low-budget wonderby brothers Michael and Peter Spierig, begins with radioactive meteoritesturning most denizens of dot-on-the-map Berkeley, Australia, into lumbering,flesh-munching ghouls. Its handful of survivors hole up in a ramshacklefarmhouse, where the scruffy gun-nut redneck has been preparing for theworst (homemade bomb shelter, homemade triple-barrel shotgun) since hewas simultaneously attacked by a zombie trout (!) and abducted by a flyingsaucer while fishing some months before.

But soon they're on the run again, dodging downpours ofinexplicable acid rain, and wondering just what the hell is really goingon when they discover the town isn't just under siege by the walking dead, but has also been walled in by extra-terrestrials (the spiked black barriersclimb into the clouds), who seem to be pulling survivors into the theirships through beams of light.
