Former BEATLE Ringo Starr has vowed to continue drumming until he's too old to hold the sticks.
The YELLOW SUBMARINE star admits he often considers retirement after his gruelling tours, but he doubts he'll ever stop performing unless his health makes it impossible.
He says, "I used to say I'd retire after every tour, and my kids would always laugh at me. Because there's a point, halfway through every tour when you think, 'What the heck am I doing here?'
"But as long as I can hold the sticks, there's no reason to retire. That's the joy of being a musician. Though I may have to play in a blues band to slow it down a bit."24/01/2005 09:47
