Rihanna suffered for her art while recording her latest album LOUD - she laid down her new tracks from car parks which stank of urine.
The Umbrella beauty rushed to create a new sound following the disappointing sales of her 2009 album Rated R, and had to fit in impromptu recording sessions in car parks while travelling in her tour bus.
And Rihanna admits it was far from a glamorous experience - because most of her makeshift studios smelled so bad.
She tells Britain's Sunday Times, "We took a studio bus on tour and, after every show, we'd sit in an empty car park until 5am and record. Then we'd get back on the tour bus and sleep for a few hours. Every afternoon, I had acting classes, every evening - a two hour show, then another recording studio.
"Some of the car parks reeked of p**s. One I'll remember until the day I die. It smelt like truckers had been peeing there for ever. I had to run between buses holding my breath. Awful!"
