Rihanna will appear on the new Coldplay album Mylo Xyloto it was revealed on Monday (9.12.2011)
The R&B superstar will lend her vocals to the track Princess of China and will be one of fourteen songs on the new album. The band are still currently tweaking songs but have already released two official singles, Paradise and the uplifting Every Teardrop is a Waterfall. Also on the album are two songs called Up In Flames and Don't Let It Break Your Heart which have been described by a source close to the band as a "masterwork of restraint" and "almost violently life-affirming" according to MTV.com. Rihanna is also due to make a guest appearance on the US version of The X-Factor after being asked by Simon Cowell.
The 23-year-old singer was born in Barbados and moved to the US at the age of 16 to pursue a career as a recording artist. She released her reggae influenced debut album, Music of the Sun in 2005 after signing with Def Jam records. She has since gone onto release four further albums and become an international superstar selling 20 million albums and has so far won four Grammy-awards, four American Music awards eighteen Billboard Music awards. The singer is set to make her big screen debut in 2012 starring in science-fiction action movie Battleship, where a fleet of battleships must fight an unknown armada to save the world.
