Rihanna is embroiled in a $4.6 million (£3 million) lawsuit from Brazilian concert promoters who claim they were conned into booking the singer for a string of shows.
Officials at Unique Sports and Marketing claim they signed a $1.7 million (£1.1 million) agreement with a company called Vegas Style Entertainment to book the Umbrella hitmaker for three Brazil gigs in November (10).
They handed over a $825,000 (£550,000) initial fee to secure Rihanna for the concerts - but Vegas Style Entertainment bosses allegedly had no connection to the star and pocketed the money.
And on Thursday (16Sep10) Unique Sports and Marketing chiefs filed legal documents in New York demanding $4,685,000 (£3,123,300) in damages, according to papers obtained by TMZ.com.
