X factor boyband JLS are to perform with R 'n' B superstar Rihanna on the show's live final, reports claim.
The four-piece could take a big step towards winning the latest series of the ITV1 show with the duet, should the Daily Mirror newspaper's claims prove correct.
While Alexandra Burke will perform with Westlife and Eoghan Quigg with Boyzone, JLS will sing Rihanna's hit Umbrella and are thought to have a greatly increased chance of becoming the latest X Factor champions.
"They are thrilled to be working with Rihanna. It is a massive coup. She has an incredibly wide fanbase which is bound to help pull votes," a show insider was quoted as saying.
"The feeling is that Rihanna's backing is the clincher.
"Even Simon Cowell has admitted they could win. He views them as an increasingly profitable asset."
Bookmakers last night slashed the odds on a JLS win to 7/2 in light of the apparent planned duet with The Good Girl Gone Bad star.
Last year's winner Leon Jackson benefited from a similarly starry duet as his performance with Kylie Minogue helped him defeat rivals Rhydian Roberts and Same Difference.
Croydon quartet JLS - whose name stands for Jack the Lad Swing - have seen their popularity soar in recent weeks, although their fame was soured by at least five teenage girls being injured after being caught in a crush at a free concert.
Up to 3,000 people are thought to have crammed into the 1,600 capacity Fairfield Halls venue in Croydon, south London earlier this week.
