Chris Brown has been going through a rough couple of weeks. After the rapper split with Rihanna for the umpteenth time, rumors have been running rampant for the past week or so. Brown officially dropped the bomb on Australian radio station 2DayFM, saying that he and Rihanna were no longer together: “I’mma do it solo,” Chris says in the interview. “I mean, at the end of the day, shawty doing her own thing, she on the road. It’s always gonna be love. I’m a grown man, just gotta move forward.” Eloquently put, Mr Brown.

Obvously, the rapper wasn’t too concerned with the breakup and reports have been saying that he is now back with his other ex-girlfriend Kerrueche Tran. According to Hollywood Life, Tran is at the root of Chris and RiRi’s latest split, after she hung out with the rapper in LA and then again in New York, which didn’t sit too well with Brown’s girlfriend (at the time). All in all, events around the couple are moving almost too quickly to follow these days, and sources close to both of them have commented that it wouldn’t be unlike Brown and Rihanna to get back together after a short break.

But just as things were cooling down on the personal front, Brown ran into trouble of a different sort, as his plane made an emergency landing in Burbank, California. The cockpit of the private jet reportedly filled with smoke and the aircraft had to make the detour from the planned trip to NYC, where Brown was to attend the annual Met Gala. A rep for the singer/rapper confirmed the news on Tuesday. Luckily, no one was harmed during the incident, but it doesn’t change the fact: trouble is following Brown like a shadow these days.
