Funnyman Ricky Gervais prefers filming in the U.S. to his native Britain - because Americans are more polite. The Office creator and star - who is currently filming comedy Ghost Town in New York City - feared he would miss London when he agreed to the role, but was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of his fans across the Atlantic. He tells British magazine Heat, "People (in the U.S.) might shout, 'Love the show', but they keep walking. They leave you alone. I was walking down the street with David Bowie and no one batted an eyelid. They smile and that's it. "I think in America when they say, 'Love the show', there's no threat of them adding, 'And you're a fat c**t'! In London, I always worry that might happen."
