The funnyman, who also features as the show's star David Brent, insists future projects created by him and writing partner Stephen Merchant will not be compared with their Grammy award winning comedy.
He says, "It really doesn't worry me. If The Office is the best stuff I ever do, then so be it. Inevitably, something has got to be the best thing you ever do. But maybe I shouldn't have done it first.
"We never worried about what people thought, or who was watching. If you begin trying to imagine a demographic or aim at a number of people you want to watch, you're going to just water it down."05/12/2004 14:22
