Rapper Rick Ross has regained consciousness after suffering a seizure during a flight to Memphis, Tennessee on Friday (14Oct11).
The Aston Martin Music hitmaker reportedly fell ill shortly after take-off from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, prompting the pilot to make an emergency landing to seek medical help.
Paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (Cpr) on Ross at the airport and he was taken to a nearby hospital after coming to.
His hip-hop protege Wale managed to speak to the heavyweight star shortly after news broke of his health troubles and assured fans Ross was fine.
In a post on Twitter.com, Wale wrote, "I just talked to Ross...he's 100 pct (per cent) ok.."
Ross himself was also back on Twitter shortly after the medical emergency to respond to worried publishing pal Elliott Wilson.
Wilson had tweeted, "Don't scare a n**ga like that," prompting Ross to reply, "never dat (that) homie..we outchea (out of here)".
Ross is still expecting to take the stage for his concert at Memphis' FedExForum as scheduled.
Meanwhile, R&B star Rihanna, hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs and singer Justin Bieber have sent their best wishes to the rapper.
Rihanna has tweeted, "#Pray4RickRoss love u bro...hang in there! Wish u better", while Diddy added, "Praying for my brother @rickyrozay !"
Bieber writes, "Rick Ross, my prayers Are with u and ur family. Hope you are okay" and Good Charlotte star Benji Madden tweets, "Hope @rickyrozay Is ok. Sending prayers his way. Hang tough Boss".
Def Jam Records co-founder Russell Simmons, rapper Pitbull and British singer Estelle have also tweeted messages of support.
