Richard Branson (born 18.06.50) Richard Branson is and English businessman best known for his role as founder of the Virgin Group, comprising of over 400 companies.
Net Worth: According to Celebrity Net Worth in 2014, Richard Branson has a net worth of 5.1 billion USD. Richard
Childhood: Richard Branson was born in Blackheath, London, to Eve and Edward James Branson. He studied at Scaitcliffe School in Surrey, before attending Stowe School in Buckinghamshire between the ages of thirteen and sixteen. Despite having dyslexia, Branson was born with a savvy business mind and an affinity with other people.
Career: Branson began by creating a record business which was advertised through his magazine, 'The Student'. The magazine was based out of the crypt in an old church and became a success overnight. At the suggestion of one of his early employees, Branson adopted the name Virgin to reflect the company's small and fresh appearance on the market. Branson sold records through Virgin for less than the average retail price and, soon after opening his first high street store, was forced to pay a fine for selling products which had been declared as stock for export, and therefore paid less in tax. In 1972, Branson had earned enough money from his record store to launch Virgin Records with one of the store members, Nik Powell. He also bought an estate in Oxfordshire and created The Manor Studio, which he rented to smaller acts and artists. In 1984, Branson created Virgin Atlantic Airways, followed by the creation Virgin Express in 1993. Branson followed this in 1999 with the creation of Virgin Mobile. In 2004, Branson announced that Virgin Galactic had been created with the intention of making flights into suborbital space available to the public for 200,000 USD. In 2006, Branson merged Virgin Mobile with other companies to create Virgin Media. In the same year, he also announced that all profits from Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Trains would be put towards research for new, environmental fuels. Also in 2006, Branson launched Virgin Comic and Virgin Animation. The total combination of all of these companies (as well as many others) served to make Branson one of the top five richest men in the UK.
Personal Life: Richard Branson married Kristen Tomassi in 1972, although they were divorced in 1979. Branson then met and began a relationship with Joan Templeman, leading to the birth of their children. Their daughter, Holly, suggested at eight years old that her parents married, so in 1989, they did.

The iconic punk band's name and artwork adorns the designs of three new Virgin Money credit cards.
Virgin Money has unveiled a new range of credit cards featuring punk-themed designs based around the artwork of Sex Pistols albums and singles. That noise you just felt was punk’s final death rattle, by the way.
The bank has rolled out three designs for the new cards, two of which are variations on the artwork for the Pistols’ seminal 1977 album Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols (the only proper studio LP they ever recorded), and a third which uses the cover of 1976 single ‘Anarchy In The UK’.

Dyslexia is a disorder that renders sufferers unable to comprehend words easily or accurately and is probably the most common learning disability that affects only one area of their academic skill. However, despite common misconceptions, dyslexia has nothing to do with intelligence; indeed, some of the biggest academic and creative geniuses in the world suffered from it including author Lewis Carroll, musician John Lennon, artist Leonardo da Vinci and scientist Albert Einstein. This documentary takes viewers into the lives of several dyslexics who don't let their struggles interfere with their high ambitions. They include Allison, a graduate from Columbia University; Skye, a young talented dancer; Sebastian, a ski racer; and Dylan, a high school senior with hopes of a higher education at a prestigious university.
Stephen Hawking proves to be an entertaining storyteller in this autobiographical documentary in which, with the help of two cowriters, he takes us on a trip through his life. It's a fascinating narrative, peppered with witty anecdotes and pithy observations. But it feels perhaps a bit too triumphant, and only rarely lets us see the man behind the famous public persona.
Hawking tells his own story, starting with his birth into an academic Oxford family and early fascination with the cosmos. He found school and university rather easy, and it wasn't until he started his PhD at Cambridge that he had his first eureka moment. It was also at this time, aged 21, when he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease and given just three years to live. But the condition developed slower than expected, so he married his girlfriend Jane and continued his studies. And over the following 50 years he has completely changed the way we understand the universe.
There are several key recurring themes here, as Hawking reveals his thoughts about science, culture and sex with humour and insight. He also lets us see his ongoing desire for recognition in his field. This is what led him to battle through the writing of his international bestseller A Brief History of Time, and also why he took a memorable guest-starring role on The Simpsons. The film recounts both experiences, as well as a hilarious TV appearance with Carrey and his friendships with everyone from Steven Spielberg to Barack Obama.
