Stars including Richard Belzer, ICE-T and Tinsley Mortimer were reportedly left in costume with nowhere to go over Halloween weekend (31Oct10) after a pet-themed charity event in New York was cancelled at the last minute.
The annual Howloween Pet Costume Benefit was due to be held at Manhattan's District 36 on Saturday (30Oct10), but organisers were thrown into a panic when venue owners realised they didn't have the proper paperwork in place and pulled out.
Guests, who reportedly dressed up along with their pets, were left waiting in the street while the event's backer, Wendy Diamond, found a replacement venue.
A source tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "Wendy told Richard Belzer to stay in his car. She also advised Ice-T and (his wife) Coco that they should save their appearance for next year."
Diamond adds, "In a dog-eat-dog city like New York, everyone endured."
