Actress Reese Witherspoon's court hearing on Monday (22Apr13) has been rescheduled following her arrest in Atlanta, Georgia last week (19Apr13).
The Legally Blonde star is facing a charge of disorderly conduct after becoming involved in an argument with a cop on Friday (19Apr13) when after her talent agent husband, Jim Toth, was pulled over and booked for driving while intoxicated.
Witherspoon was expected to face a judge on Monday, but the date has now been postponed until 22 May (13), according to the Associated Press. It is not yet known why the hearing was pushed back.
The actress, who is currently in the middle of a promotional tour for her new movie Mud, has since spoken out to apologise for the incident, insisting, "I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said... I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior."
