Fact: Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante is working with British band Duran Duran on their 14th album. He has been working remotely from his home in California, adding his guitar work on their tracks via the Internet.
Fact: Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea is teaming up with members of disbanded rock band The Mars Volta for their new project Antemasque. Guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala have recruited Flea along with former The Mars Volta drummer Dave Elitch for their new project, and they posted a video of a rehearsal on Twitter.com on Tuesday (08Apr14).
Fact: Sir Paul McCartney and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to headline the 2013 Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival this summer (13). Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix, Kaskade, Vampire Weekend, D'Angelo and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are also on the bill for the San Francisco, California event, which will take place from 9 - 11 August (13).

Fact: Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea paid tribute to tragic comic John Belushi during the group's performance on US comedy show Saturday Night Live on Saturday (06MAY06) by scribbling the late funnyman's name on his chest in thick black ink. Belushi, who died from a drug overdose in 1982, was a regular on the satirical show.
