Rebecca Black, the 13-year-old YouTube sensation who rose to fame for her viral hit 'Friday', has denied rumours that she is pregnant. Rumours that Rebecca Black was expecting hit social networking sites over the weekend and was even picked up by CNN's 'iReport' on Saturday (14th April 2011).
The young singer took to her Twitter account to deny the speculation, telling her 250,000 followers, "I thought it was May 15th ... not April Fool's Day. I'm absolutely NOT pregnant". Since uploading her 'Friday' video to YouTube, Black has received over 140 million views. Despite the popularity of the clip, Black complained during an appearance on Good Morning America that she was being cyber-bullied. The track has often been dubbed "the worst song ever" and it was revealed last month that police in Anaheim, California, were investigating several death threats made against Black. Last week, the child-star reached a new level of fame when the cast of Glee covered 'Friday' during their prom episode. The song, which cost $4,000 to produce, was officially released in March 2011, selling around 40,000 downloads in its first week of sales. It peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 58 and made it to number 61 on the UK Singles Chart.
Rebecca Black is reportedly working on her second single, named 'LOL'. The song is scheduled to be included on the 13-year-old's debut studio album.
