Rebecca Black fans are gearing up for the premiere of the singer's second single, which hits the web at 8pm Est tonight (18th July 2011). Black's viral hit 'Friday' garnered over 167 million YouTube views and anticipation for the follow-up has been building since its announcement several weeks ago.
A new video for 'My Moment' will debut on Black's official YouTube channel, as well as her official website, tonight. Centred around her monumental rise to fame, the clip will feature real-life events include the singer's hosting of the MTV's Online Music Awards. The single will be available to purchase on iTunes and other online retailers from Tuesday (19th July 2011) and Rebecca is currently putting the finishing touches to a 5 track EP, set for release in August. Black's first single, which quickly acquired the undesirable tag of being "the worst song ever recorded", featured heavy auto-tuning and suspect lyrics including, "Seven a.m, waking up in the morning, Gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs, Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal". It is not clear whether 'My Moment' will draw on similar themes or feature similar production .
Rebecca Black, who recently featured in Katy Perry's video for 'Last Friday Night', received death threats during the height of 'Friday's' fame.
