British actor Ray Winstone was astounded to discover his teenage King Arthur co-star Keira Knightley boasts more than just supreme acting talent - she was also the cast's best fighter.

The British screen veteran admits he found Knightley's ability to perform in superior fight scenes to his own repertoire slightly humiliating, because he's not used to being outshined by a woman when it comes to physical violence.

He says, "Keira was the best out of the lot of us. She took it all on. But she's a little fireball, a game little girl.

"I wouldn't let her teach me anything, though. I can't have a woman telling me how to fight."
