Rascal Flatts have taken country back to the top of the American album chart by becoming only the second country group in history to hit number one on the Billboard 200 list.

The band's new album FEELS LIKE TODAY shifted 201,000 copies in its first week to displace Green Day's AMERICAN IDIOT at the top of the charts.

The Dixie Chicks were the only other country group to get to number one when their albums FLY and HOME both hit the top in 1999 and 2002 respectively.

Other top 10 new entries in the new chart include Marilyn Manson's best of collection LEST WE FORGET, Hilary Duff's eponymous album, R+B sensation Ciara's GOODIES and IN LOVE + DEATH by The Used.
