There were some shocking resolutions in the last few episodes in season one of 'Mr. Robot', and we've been desperate to find out what's next for Elliott now that he's starting to see through some of his delusions. What mysteries will be solved in season 2? And, indeed, what new mysteries will arise?

The creator of the hacker drama, which sees a socially inept and depressive computer hacker get involved with a group of people who want to erase all debts from the system, has revealed a little of what to expect from the upcoming new series. Though we've still no idea what's going to happen.

'There will be a lot more backstory that will be shown, the timeline will get a little clearer - not 100 percent clear, because where's the fun in that?' Sam Esmail told Entertainment Weekly at the Television Critics Association's press tour in Pasadena. 'But a little clearer. It really is about Elliott trying to reconcile what this means in seeing Mr. Robot. The series is filling in the blanks of the past and the present of this character. It's about a guy who becomes aware of this delusion he's been having.'

Okay, so that really isn't giving much away about the forthcoming next 10 episodes of the Golden Globe nominated thriller. Esmail did, however, warn viewers that it 'gets really dark, really fast', so that could be interesting. 'We're still nervous with every episode. We're afraid people are going to hate it and call us out as frauds, or whatever', he told Digital Trends.

The series stars Rami Malek as Elliot Alderson, an actor whose previous credits include 'Night at the Museum'', 'Oldboy', 'The Twilight Saga' and teen comedy series 'The War at Home'.

'Mr. Robot' season two is expected to hit sometime in the summer.
