Rachel Weisz is set to become one of Britain's highest paid actresses after signing a deal to star alongside Hollywood hunk Keanu Reeves in a new blockbuster.

The ABOUT A BOY star will appear in CONSTANTINE - which is adapted from comic book HELLBLAZER - and is expected to net $8 million (GBP5 million) from her share of the film's profits.

The plot of Constantine revolves around the mysterious death of Weisz's character ANGELA's sister. Reeves will play a crime fighter shrouded in intrigue who teams up with Weisz's policewoman to solve the case.

Stunning Weisz - known to American audiences for her performances in THE MUMMY movies - will rank alongside British superstars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kate Winslet, Kate Beckinsale and Minnie Driver if the film proves a hit.
