There’s been few lyrics ever discussed as intensely as one particular line from Beyonce’s ‘Sorry’, off the album Lemonade. The lyric ‘he better call Becky with the good hair’ sparked social media debates and accusations, as everyone tried to discover who ‘Becky’ was. But now the song’s co-writer Diana Gordon has finally come clean with the truth behind the infamous line.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Gordon was asked what she though about people’s reactions to the lyric. “I laughed, like this is so silly,” she said. “Where are we living? I was like, ‘What day in age from that lyric do you get all of this information?’ Is it really telling you all that much, accusing people?"
Roy was accused of being the infamous ‘Becky with the good hair’ after Beyonce dropped her album ‘Lemonade’ in April.
At the 2016 CFDA Awards on Monday evening all three members of one of the most famous rumoured celebrity love triangles were in attendance, Beyoncé, her husband Jay Z and fashion designer Rachel Roy. It’s the first time the three have been at the same event since Beyoncé dropped her album Lemonade in April and of course all eyes were on the trio to see if their paths would cross.
Beyoncé avoided a run-in with Rachel Roy at the CFDA awards.
According to US Weekly, the CFDA red carpet had no drama as Roy opted to sneak in to the event through a side-door. An insider said: "She was one of the only celebs to not walk the carpet.”

California native Rachel got her start in the fashion world after moving to New York to work in retail and setting herself up as a stylist for magazines and music videos. But her first big career break came when she landed an internship at Rocawear, the fashion label of Jay-Z and then business partner Damon Dash. Dash and Roy soon became close and in 1999 their daughter Ava was born. However Dash was also in a relationship with singer Aaliyah at the tine which continued until her untimely death in 2001.
