Rachel Hunter's Hollywood house is haunted by the ghost of a 17th century woman who was tortured by an early settler.
The model-turned-actress opened up her home for MTV's CRIBS show, and revealed the six-bedroom mansion she shares with kids RENEE and LIAM, their nanny and her pet Alsatian also has an unwanted guest.
Hunter, who sold the home she shared with estranged husband Rod Stewart last year (02) and bought the new pad, was so spooked when she first realised she had a ghost, she turned that part of the house into the guest quarters.
In showing MTV cameras round, she explained, "Even the bathrooms are made like crypts.
"Apparently this woman lived in here and this mortician from the 17th century lived out here and tortured her. We've heard a lot of doors banging."
But it's the only part of her home Hunter doesn't love. The new pad has become a haven for her collections of antique signs and religious artifacts - the New Zealand-born beauty even has an altar in her bedroom, where she reads up on world faiths.
And Hunter's home is big on comfort - as well as the luxurious bedrooms, the stunner also has a French-style boudoir, which is crammed with cushions and beanbags.12/11/2003 02:09
