R+B star R Kelly leads the nominations for the 20th annual Soul Train Music Awards with three nods.
The IGNITION hitmaker will feature heavily at the awards ceremony on 4 March (06), despite being beset with legal issues - including a 14-count indictment charging him with child pornography offences.
Kelly will be honoured with the inaugural Stevie Wonder Award for songwriting achievement, presented by the SUPERSTITION singer himself
Kelly's nominations are best R+B/Soul Single (Male), Best Music Video for his hit TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET (CHAPTER 1) and Best R+B/Soul Album (Male) for TP.3 RELOADED.
Special gongs for other stars include the Quincy Jones Award for career achievement, which will go to Jamie Foxx and disbanded girl group Destiny's Child.
The Sammy Davis Jr Entertainer of the Year award will be picked up by John Legend.
The Black Eyed Peas, Mariah Carey, Keyshia Cole, JOHN LEGEND, Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani, Bobby V, Kanye West and Charlie Wilson all received two nominations.
