R+B star R Kelly boasts an unusual piece of memorabilia in his personal collection - Marvin Gaye's driving licence.

The IGNITION singer received the late singer's photocard two years ago (03), and he's treasured it ever since.

He says, "(Marvin's) wife sent it to me, because she really loved my HAPPY PEOPLE record. She said that she thought it represented the spirit of her husband.

"The licence is from California. I get inspired every time I look at it. It can't get more soulful than Marvin. He had a tone in his voice like no other. It was like he swallowed a flute, and he was never afraid to talk about the struggles."

Gaye died in 1984, after his father shot him dead during a dispute.
