Moviemaker Quentin Tarantino was escorted home in a refuse truck after drunken night out in the English city of Liverpool.
The Pulp Fiction director spent more than $2,000 (GBP1,000) on alcohol for pals at a charity screening of his movie Death Proof before losing his driver in the busy city.
Stranded, Tarantino accepted a lift from a refuse collector.
He says, "Man, I had so much fun when I hitched a ride with the cool trucker dude.
"They were chanting my name so I gave them a wave and we started talking. I told them I was waiting for my driver and the trucker said he would give me a life.
"Liverpool people are really friendly. I just jumped in."
