The trailer for Quentin Tarantino 's new film 'Django Unchained' has been unveiled and, as you'd expect, features the usual smooth and silkily delivered dialogue, as well as a crisp, classy, cut that perfectly complement the movie's revenge theme.
The film also features a funk soundtrack, something of a favorite of Tarantino's - you only need to look at certain songs that made 'Pulp Fiction's' soundtrack - and shows glimpses of the storyline that sees Jamie Foxx, Leonardo Dicaprio and Christoph Waltz get thrown together. It would appear that Foxx is going to play a pretty straight slave, with DiCaprio showcasing flamboyance as a villainous plantation owner named Calvin Candie.
The film is set two years before the outbreak of the American civil war with the synopsis of the film reading that Django is "a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr King Schultz (Academy award-winner Christoph Waltz)". Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles - dead or alive. The film hits cinemas this fall.
