Queen's 1991 hit THE SHOW MOST GO ON is the most popular song at European funerals - a new poll has found.

Digital TV station MUSIC CHANNEL questioned 45,000 adults across the continent and discovered people choose rock songs for their departing tunes.

Among the top five across Europe, music fans wanted their mourners to listen to Led Zeppelin's STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN and AC/DC's HIGHWAY TO HELL.

In Britain, Robbie Williams' ballad ANGELS came in at number one, while Norwegians chose Frank Sinatra's MY WAY.

Italians and Spanish were more traditional, selecting MOZART's REQUIEM and THE BEATLES' LET IT BE respectively.

Danes love U2's WITH OR WITHOUT YOU, while Germans plumped for Metallica's NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.
