Rapper/actress Queen Latifah was in court yesterday (06JUN06) to see her friend, hip-hop manager JIMMY 'HENCHMAN' ROSEMOND, sentenced for misdemeanour assault. Rosemond, manager of rapper The Game, received just three years of unsupervised probation and a $2,500 (GBP1,388) fine for attacking a Washington disc jockey. The music mogul was found guilty earlier this year (06) of seriously beating 93.9 WKYS-FM personality XZULU 'THE BIG LIPPED BANDIT' after a Maryland interview to promote The Game's debut album THE DOCUMENTARY. The radio star had allegedly mocked Rosemond's cell phone head set. Attorney's for Rosemond, Scott Srebnick and WILLIAM BRENNAN, tell AllHipHop.com, "The judge's decision to place Mr. Rosemond on unsupervised probation was in recognition that he is and continues to be a positive influence within the community. "We are thankful that the judge saw this case for what it was." The Game was formally charged with assault and battery at the time, but the charges were later dropped.
