With L'Wren Scott hosting, the party was nothing, if not glamorous.
The summer social calender is now in full swing and it just wouldn’t be complete without the Serpentine Gallery’s Summer party. This year the event was organised and hosted by L’Wren Scott. The former model and current fashion designer was approached by gallery's co-director, Julia Peyton-Jones, and asked to be involved in this year's event, according to Vogue. Considering the guest list at the exclusive garden party, it is certainly easy to see why the Serpentine summer event counts as one of the highlights of the London season. Everyone – from actors, models and socialites to arts patrons – was out in full force and, of course, in appropriate attire.
From across the pond, Sarah Jessica Parker brought some 1920s glamour to the evening. The Sex and the City star attended the event with husband Matthew Broderick. She wore a silver flapper-inspired Naeem Khan dress and of course, her signature Manolo Blahnik’s.
Sarah Jessica Parker summoned some old-school charm for the event.
She visited Halifax and Huddersfield the day after the royal's triumphant visit to Royal Ascot on Thursday
Princess Beatrice paid a visit to the Trinity Academy school in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England this Friday (June 21) to tour the brand new premises and speak to some of its students. The ultra-modern school made quite the impression on the 24-year-old royal and it seemed to be a fitting follow-up to the excitement of Thursday at Ascot.
After touring and speaking to the students in the West Yorkshire town, the royal continued her tour of the area at the nearby University of Huddersfield and then to the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, which is also found in the beautiful town of Huddersfield. The Princess told the students, “You’re so lucky to be in an academy like this, to be in a school like this, where everything can be brought together, where young people can be taught these amazing life skills in this incredible space.”

Power couple Ashton and Mila sampled London's finest watering holes.
British royalty Princess Beatrice and boyfriend Dave Clark entertained Hollywood couple Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher over the weekend, taking them on a tour of London's swankiest bars and restaurants. Things started at the Duck & Waffle on the 40th floor of Heron Tower in East London, but soon headed to Callooh Callay in Shoreditch.
Next came the John Salt bar in Islington, North London, where the drinks kept on coming. "They asked for our best speciality dish, said John Salt boss Leigh Gillson, "We gave them deep fried banana in caramel." A source added: "It wasn't a boozy bender, more an upmarket crawl." Mila, 29 and Ashton, 35, are currently living in London while the actress shoots her new movie Jupiter Ascending.
According to the UK's Daily Mail, the foursome even managed to hit celebrity restaurant Scott's in Mayfair and the Spanish restaurant Cambio De Tercio in Kensington, where Mila and Ashton were given matching Real Madrid shirts - which they later wore.
Ah, it's that time of year again, when the London's fashion glitterati descend on The Savoy Hotel to try outdo each other with their designer dresses, towering heels and flashy bags. Actually, it was a little more elegant than that this year, with some of the leading names in British fashion turning out for annual event. Sure, that Nick Grimshaw guy was there, but he kind of had to be given that he was hosting.
The evening saw 14 awards presented to leading figures in fashion, with Stella Mccartney scooping the top accolade of Designer of the Year. Outstanding Achievement went to Manolo Blahnik for his contribution to fashion, while Jonathan Saunders won the Emerging Talent (Menswear) Award (presented by Ronnie Wood). So that's the boring ones out of the way: who won the exciting stuff? Model of the Year went to the new darling of British fashion Cara Delevingne, who pretty much dominated the fashion stakes on the evening too. The 20-year-old wore a metallic green shift dress by Burberry with silver peep-toe heels. It was big night for the Burberry star, who graced the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in November. She was joined by her close pal Rita Ora, who opted for an aqua gown by Vivienne Westwood before later dressing down with cream trousers and knitted top. Delevingne became the face of the fashion house in 2010 though has also appeared in high profile campaigns for H&M, Zara and Chanel. She appeared in a huge 31 shows at London Fashion Week in September, modelling for the likes of Dolce and Gabbana, Fendi and Stella McCartney.
