Kate Middleton and Prince William’s baby looks like it will be getting its fair share of attention from both of the couple’s families, if their Christmas plans are anything to go by.

Indicative of how close the Prince Of Wales has got to in-laws has been served by the fact that the couple will be having a major break from tradition and spending the festive break at the Middletons, and not, as is custom, with the Royal Family. People’s report suggests that Middleton wants to be with her family after suffering in recent weeks from extreme morning sickness, with William keen to be there with her.

The Middletons live in Bucklebury, though the couple will be visiting the Prince’s grandparents, The Queen and Prince Phillip, at their gathering at Sandringham, Norfolk. It’s in keeping with the perception that William has appeared eager to endorse since the pair got together, in that they are a modern couple who won’t be bowing to tradition because of the weight of history behind them – swapping between families during the holiday period is one such way of expressing it, and it appears that the decision has been done with the blessing of Buckingham Palace, the statement revealing the couple’s festive intent coming from the palace itself.
