British royal Prince Harry has an extra reason to celebrate ahead of his brother Prince William's wedding this month (Apr11) - he has won a promotion.
The 26 year old works as a lieutenant in the British armed services and served in Afghanistan between 2007 and 2008. He has now been promoted to captain after qualifying as an Apache helicopter pilot last month (Mar11).
A spokesman for St James's Palace says, "Prince Harry has been promoted to captain within the Army Air Corps in recognition of time service in the Armed Forces.
"He will now progress to the Apache 'conversion to role' course where he will learn to operate the aircraft and its weapons systems in a variety of challenging operational scenarios."
Harry will serve as best man when his brother William weds Kate Middleton in London on 29 April (11).
