British royal Prince Harry will be protected around-the-clock by specialist armed police when he begins training at the British Army's SANDHURST military academy in May (05).
Prince Harry is considered to be under threat from both the Irish Republican Army (IRA) and Islamic extremists, and the royal family are taking no chances with Harry's safety, according to British newspaper The Sun.
Security at Sandhurst is already at an all-time high, with armed patrols and 3 metre high (12 feet) perimeter fences and Royal Protection will even watch over Harry when he takes part in military exercises.
A royal insider says, "There are still risks despite Sandhurst's own measures. The Royals are potential targets and the Army have sensibly accepted the need for Harry to have protection."25/03/2005 13:53
