Prince Harry is single once again.

The Royal family member split from girlfriend of two years, Cressida Bonas, only a month after she attended her first official engagement with him for the first time.

So why did their relationship end?

According to The Telegraph, the 24 year-old blonde beauty struggled with the attention she received while dating Harry.

The newspaper also notes that constant speculation on if the pair were going to wed in the near future played a big part in the split.

However, it seems the couple did not end things on a bad note, a source close to the situation insisted to People Magazine they ended things “amicably.”

"It's very sad but they have decided to split up," the insider told the mag. "This is an amicable decision and they are very much still the best of friends but they have decided to go their separate ways.”

A second source also confirmed their split to Us Weekly, but hinted that they may get back together in the near future.

"They're off, but I don't think it's for good," the source said. "They hit a rocky patch and this decision is the result of that. Harry is the type to want to take breathers and then try again.”

Bonas met the 29 year-old Prince through her friend and Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie of York, in May 2012, and while being in the relationship, the socialite reportedly turned down modelling jobs and put her aspiring acting career on hold.

"This gives Cressida the opportunity to focus on her career but they would like to have a few days to be left alone,” an insider added when news broke of their split.
