Bizarre circus drama CARNIVALE was the big winner at yesterday's (12SEP04) Creative Arts portion of the annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
The period drama, starring Terminator 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES star NICK STAHL, picked up five trophies, including wins for single-camera series cinematography, hair styling for a series and costumes for a series.
Mini-series Angels in America picked up four Creative Arts awards, including prizes for art direction and make-up.
American cable network HBO, which aired Carnivale and Angels In America, took home 16 awards for its shows at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, prize giving. The network's shows have been nominated a staggering 124 times for overall Emmys this year (04).
