Period drama Pride And Prejudice has triumphed in the UK box office for a second week, despite competition from Guy Ritchie's crime drama Revolver and George A Romero's horror film Land of the Dead.

The JANE AUSTEN adaptation, starring Keira Knightley as feisty ELIZABETH BENNET, took $34.2 million (GBP1.9 million) over the weekend (24-25SEP05), while Revolver was far behind with $1.5 million (GBP882,814) at number two and Land Of The Dead at three with $1.5 million (GBP870,285) in takings.

Last week's number two THE LONGEST YARD and number three THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN slipped to number five and four respectively.

The third new entry in this week's top ten was Japanese animation HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE.
