War Child Announce London Kasabian Show June 18th 2014

War Child are very proud to announce that Kasabian will be performing a special show at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on June 18th to help the child victims of war.

Kasabian, one of the UK's biggest and best live acts, release their new album 48:13 on June 9th. This intimate concert is their only London show and comes a mere three days before their huge homecoming show in Leicester and ten days before their headline slot at Glastonbury June 29th.

Tickets to this special event are £50. All profits from the show will go to support War Child's work with children in war zones across the world.

War Child have an award-winning history of working with the best names in music and hosting great live music events, War Child believe in the power of music to change people's lives.

War Child's unique work protects the innocent victims of war. War Child changes and saves the lives of children in the world's most war-torn countries, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Uganda, Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo. War Child give children the security, care, education and skills they need to build a better future for themselves.

Ben Knowles, Director of Music at War Child says: "We are delighted that our friends Kasabian are again supporting War Child with this small concert at a huge time for the band - getting to see their Glastonbury-scale set in the intimate confines of O2 Shepherds Bush Empire will be very exciting. The generosity of the band, their team and the fans who buy tickets or donate will directly help change and save the lives of the most vulnerable children suffering the brutal effects of war."

Tom Meighan from Kasabian adds: "That children suffer in war is unacceptable, and it's important that War Child are there to do something about it. We couldn't be happier to again help them in their vital work with a concert we're really looking forward to. We hope Kasabian fans will support War Child at this event, or by donating to War Child."

Kasabian O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire tickets go on-sale at 9am on Friday 30th May priced at £50 (subject to per-ticket charge plus order processing fee)
