Visions Festival Announces Final Acts For 2014 Including Polica, Andrew Wk, Sophie And More

On August 2nd 2014, London will see the return of a highly exciting and fresh new event in the Capital, taking place around London Fields - VISIONS festival.

Today's announcement sees hotly tipped UK producer Sophie join the bill for VISIONS 2014, alongside Swedish singer Alice Boman, exciting Canadian indie quintet Alvvays, lo-fi electronica act Dirty Beaches and Finish electronica artist Jaakko Eino Kalevi. The festival is also pleased to announce a handful of exciting new Lonodn acts, including Moon Gangs, IYES and a special collaborative performance from exotica act Flamingods and thrash-garage act Boneyards. Finally, Visions is also delighted to welcome a very unique young group all the way from Northern Mali - Desert rock quartet Songhoy Blues, who recently featured on the Africa Express release with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Nick Zinner, and headlined the Africa Express event with Damon Albarn last December in London.

As well as a stellar line up of musicians, VISIONS will be adding their very own Visions Market to the festival this summer, in association with Brooklyn Brewery Mash. The Mash takes place across London July 26 - August 2 for a week of events showcasing what's next in food, film, music, comedy, books and beer and will be hosting our arts market. This will take place in the Laundry Canteen and feature an exhibition from London-based illustration collective Skull Paradise, a tattoo exhibition from Liam Sparkes, a special Comic Book Fair by Breakdown, Babak Ganjei's Road House comic book exhibition and a record fair presented by Flash Back Records. Also expect pours of new, barrel-aged and rare Brooklyn beers not normally found in the UK.

To celebrate Visions Market, a specially designed Skull Paradise Visions T-shirt and Baseball shirt will be on-sale at the event, and for a limited time this T-shirt will be on-sale as a bundle with a ticket to the festival for an additional £5.

VISIONS is also pleased to announce the return of the fantastic Netil Rooftop space this year. The rooftop will not only be a great place to hang out in between live performances, there will be a Sailor Jerry Rum Shack, BBQ and hot tubs available!

Remaining tickets priced at highly reasonable £25 are on-sale now.
