Violet Skies has made her new single 'How The Mighty' available as a free download.
Singer/songwriter Violet Skies comes from a small town in South Wales. At 22, her sound balances her love for artists she grew up with such as Joni Mitchell, Sting and Paul Simon, and the soundscapes of James Blake and Massive Attack.
Alongside her own music - a series of songs being released from November 2013 onwards - Violet has collaborated with Electronic pop producer Stumbleine. After a chance hearing of her voice, they've written an EP due for release in early 2014, as well as what will be her debut album in spring 2014, out on Monotreme Records.
The 1969 session, including the only known recording of 'Sunshine Woman' by the band, will be included on a re-issue of 'The Complete BBC Sessions'...
