Trails and Ways self-released the Trilingual EP earlier this year. The band is also hitting the road again this Sept., for a string of West Coast dates opening for Stars and a few on their own as well.
The "Como Te Vas" game is a landscape mixer; a way for anyone to remix each element of the song into different landscapes. Using the buttons on the left of the screen, you can put each instrument into the desert, into space, under the sea, into a giant cave, into the woods of southeastern Brazil, or you can totally mute that instrument. There's also an "all button" where you can move all the tracks to one landscape, or shuffle all the landscapes at once.
The song title translates to "How you go", and the game lets everybody play in their own way. We wanted to mess with the boundaries between music "producers" and listeners by letting anybody make their own mix of the song. We make all our songs with a particular place in mind, so the visual idea was obvious; remixing the song should remix the landscape. We did this experiment with two artist friends (Yotam Mann and David Wallace). At this time the game has been developed only for Chrome, on Mac or PC.
