The Family Rain Announce New Single 'Carnival' Plus Spring 2013 Tour Dates

The Family Rain return with 'Carnival', the latest single to be released on Bigger Splash. It is available now as a free download via the bands official website www.thefamilyrain.com and Facebook page, and released on heavy stock vinyl on 18th March.

The Family Rain are three brothers from Bath - the twins Tim and Will and older brother Olly. Brought up away from the bright lights of London, they've made music in their own corner of the UK. The result is songs of garage minimalism, stripped back to be performed as live. Debut single "Trust Me.I'm A Genius" hinted at the band's brilliant simplicity, now "Carnival" throws more light on their talents.

While Trust Me... I'm A Genius, was recorded at Rock Field in Wales Carnival is a home demo which was recorded in the boys basement. It is here where the band rehearse and write much of their material, sandwiched between the downstairs bathroom and their Dad's garage.

Freshly singed to Mercury Records, the band are set to head to the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin this February to record with Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys).

On returning from Berlin, the band will embark on a string of dates supporting The Courteeners and Willy Moon, as well as their first London headline show March 18th at the Sebright Arms.
