The Duchess marks the debut release for new artist, Tala . The very name is indicative of female stature and confidence, traits that are embodied within Tala's music.
Born in London from a melting pot of contrasting cultures and influences, Tala celebrates the eclectic - growing up in the 90s of Iranian descent, the soundtrack to Tala 's key influential years as a youngster was a mixture of classical music, 90s hip-hop and R&B, and computer game soundtracks.
From the turn of the millennia, the more contemporary sounds of bleeding-edge electronic producers coupled with the new wave of alternative pop artists have helped shape her sound into a heady and unique mix of rough beats, soaring synths and dramatic moments; with Tala 's distinctive vocals consistently providing colour and energy.
