Sergio Mendes London Gig Revealed 14th July 2012

This summer, Academy award nominee Sergio Mendes will bring the vibrant sounds and sights of Brazil to London as his Brazilian Festa hits London's indigO2 on Saturday 14th July, for a special one-off show.

Sergio has a string of hits under his belt, including the world famous ubiquitous track 'Mas Que Nada' which he re-released last year as part of a collaboration with Black Eyed Peas.

A revered musician who plays Bossa Nova crossed with jazz and funk, Sergio was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2012 as co-writer of the song 'Real in Rio' from the animated film Rio.

His 2006 album, 'Timeless' featured an array of world class guest artists including Black Eyed Peas, Erykah Badu, Black Thought, Jill Scott, Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, India Arie, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Q Tip, Stevie Wonder and Pharoahe Monch.

Now the party is coming to London and along with an array of Brazilian dancers and DJ's Sergio is promising to keep the Festa going long in to the night!
