Roman Remains, the duo comprised of Liela Moss & Toby Butler from The Duke Spirit, have announced a series of live dates in the UK which include supporting Gary Numan on his UK Tour and an exclusive performance at James Lavelle's curated Meltdown Festival.
The band have been touring heavily across the USA (including performances at SXSW) in support of the release of their debut album 'Zeal' on Dhani Harrison's H.O.T Records Ltd. Dhani became such a big fan of the band that not only did he sign Roman Remains, he also performed live with them on string of live stateside shows taking on keyboard duties.
It is now time for Roman Remains to head back home to their native UK in support of the release of their debut album 'Zeal' this side of the pond which includes the beautiful yet electrifyingly brutal new single 'Gazebo'.
Roman Remains sound is quite a departure from their previous outputs in The Duke Spirit so heads will certainly turn and so they should! Their new forward vision creates a soundscape which feverishly crosses the lines between Electro, Industrial and Dance without being quite exactly any of the aforementioned. Liela Moss's inimitable vocal style and spiritual, earthy yet sometimes tongue-in-cheek lyrics give the album a tantalizing and alluring feel which sonically draw you in and spits you out.
Their performance at Meltdown Festival on the 14th June builds on Liela's past collaborations with James Lavelle which include her lead vocals on UNKLE track 'The Dog Is Black' from the 'Only the Lonely EP' which also featured Nick Cave, with whom Liela has collaborated on his 'Lawless' film soundtrack. Meltdown Festival does not stop there for Liela as she will also be singing with Mark Lanegan and Keaton Henson at both individual shows! Roman Remains then continue their journey across the UK in support of the electro synth pop legend that is Gary Numan.
Roman Remains have landed. Now go visit!
