Peter Aristone is a singer-songwriter who crosses over many genres and styles to create his debut single Sunlight, an unashamedly optimistic feel-good summer track.
The versatile guitarist has a darker and a lighter side to his music - this track Sunlight is clearly Peter in a brighter mood and he has created a song which after a couple of listens really sticks in your mind and will bring back many great summer memories.
The xx-year-old Slovakian musician studied at the Jazz Conservatory in Prague and has had several hits in his native country and supported Anastasia for her stadium gigs in Prague, Bratislava and Budapest.
Peter moved to London in 2012 and now lives and records in Kensal Rise, north West London. His recent material has been created with writing partner Darren Berry (Razorlight side project Zazoo and La Roux writer) and Manic Street Preachers producer Greg Haver produced this track and the rest of his debut album.
Peter has been performing a number of acoustic sets at Paradise in Kensal Green and a high profile private event at Kensington Roof Gardens.
In his words:
"My first single release in the UK had to be a song that meant something to me. Sunlight is a perfect song for this time of year, optimistic, fun, and all about good times with friends. It's an escapist, track but if you pick between the lyric there is a bitter-sweet theme underneath."
'Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing)' arrives in April.
The two awards have made for a great 72nd birthday present for the country music icon.
