London-based trio 'MONSTA' have announced the release of new single 'Messiah' on May 6th
Rising stars of the EDM scene, their progressive sound and uncompromising refusal to be pigeon-holed by any one genre classification has been making waves with peers and live audiences alike. Taking from the dance music format whilst also introducing decadent basslines, drumbeats, and musical catharsis, MONSTA is the sound of now.
In the wake of the Skrillex and Nero remix of their single 'Holdin On' storming commercial and specialist radio, the group's debut EP reached No.1 in the UK & US iTunes electronic chart after selling 100,000 downloads and prompting tastemaker music bloggers such as Complex, Interview and VIBE to throw the spotlight on MONSTA, further cementing their crossover and underground dance scene credentials.
Messiah is another euphoric track that combines all the best parts of electronica, dance, soul and gospel with producers Rocky and Rufio injecting an unmistakable and infections energy to the track that makes Messiah sound as good on radio as it does on the dance floor. But what makes MONSTA uniquely different from anything in the current EDM scene are the soaring vocal lines of frontman 'Skaar', his inimitable voice drives Messiah through like a unstoppable juggernaut, Skrillex surmised it best by saying "His vocals are so raw and so pristine, he can just walk up to any mic.. he just sounds like fucking angels are singing." Never has that been more apparent than on new single Messiah.
Having toured extensively and relentlessly through the UK, Europe and US with the likes of Chase & Status, Sub Focus, Knife Party, and Swedish House Mafia, MONSTA have built up a large and loyal live following through their infectiously energetic performances.
With disparate musical influences and a uniquely brilliant frontman, Messiah is set to further break new ground in the tastemaker and commercial dance scenes and switch yet more of the unsuspecting masses onto the progressive sound of MONSTA.
