Mitch Winehouse To Release Second Single 'Please Be Kind' In Association With Macmillan Cancer Care
'Please Be Kind' In Association With Macmillan Cancer Support To Be Released October 17th 2010
At the age of 60, Mitch is continuing to turn his life-long ambition into reality. After swapping life as a London cabbie he has brought his love of jazz to the masses with the release of his latest single 'Please Be Kind' on October 17th 2010.
'Please Be Kind' has a double message, as Mitch is teaming up with the Macmillan cancer support charity for this single.
"The reason I recorded 'Please Be Kind' is it was my mother's favorite song. She was cared for by Macmillan nurses and they do an amazing job and really helped my family and help hundreds of patients and their families affected by cancer"
Several other of Mitch's family members have also been affected by cancer and he will be donating all proceeds from the single to Macmillan. Mitch will also be making personal visits to regional Macmillan services during his up and coming UK tour.
Since launching his music career with the release of his debut album 'Rush Of Love', Mitch has wowed the UK critics with his engaging performances and endearing personality, with the music also gaining strong interest from both European and US markets.
Taken from the album produced by musical legend Tony Hiller, second single 'Please Be Kind' is a classic slice of jazz. Written by American composer Saul Chaplin with lyrics by Sammy Cahn, this mid-tempo number highlights a tale of young love. The 1938 song was first performed by Mildred Bailey and also later recorded by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Frank Sinatra.
