Mike Marlin Debut Album Nearly Man 14th February 2011

Already picked to play as part of HMV's Next Big Thing, UK and European tours in the diary and a film sync in the bag 2011 is going to be a big year for Mike Marlin and the Whethermen. Debut album 'Nearly Man' launches on February 16th with a showcase at London's Gibson Guitar Studios.

Mike Marlin was born in Wimbledon in the swinging 60's, grew up to earn a scholarship studying physics at Oxford then dropped out to pursue a passion for music, girls and computers. More inspired by post-punk British pop such as Costello and Weller, Mike armed himself with a guitar and 4-track cassette machine and withdrew into a world of his own, venturing out only to play bass in bands that never made it.
