Canada-born singer and guitarist Michael Bernard Fitzgerald (MBF) has announced his debut full-length album entitled YES along with a 3-week Southwestern run with Bobby Long. YES will officially drop on August 27th via Trauma 2 Records, and will be the follow-up effort to the Firecracker EP. The first half of 2013 has kept Fitzgerald busy, having toured consistently and packing clubs throughout Canada, while also releasing the music video for the single "Firecracker."
Fitzgerald first fronted rock bands in high school. Following graduation, he headed off to Australia for a little soul searching, and upon his return, proceeded to pursue writing and performing relentlessly. Michael's kind, approachable disposition gives way to an undeniable confidence on stage. This young man can break hearts playing solo with an acoustic guitar and loop pedal, and equally make venues soar with a full band. In North America, Michael tours regularly from coast to coast.
"I love Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Bog Segar, Feist, Souls of Mischief, and Mason Jennings," says MBF. "My simple goal is to pursue this craft as honestly as possible, devoid of smoke and mirrors...to tour around the world and live a beautiful musical life." YES was recorded in a small studio in Hollywood, and will showcase its first single "Man Overboard" at the end of July.
